Milestone's

Will is 1yr old, what a great milestone! Just about to walk, talk and in general turn his family upside down;) He looks like a rock star, those big brown eyes and funky hair, I would say he is going to melt a few hearts:)

And let's not forget his big sister Ava, are these two not just the most adorable siblings!

I would definitely have to say Will is Mommy's little boy and Ava is Daddy's little girl, I love these shots!! Who would have guested that Dad is shy in front of the camera, he's a natural:)

And last, but not least a great family shot, so natural and beautiful!

It was such a pleasure to have met you guys, thanks for coming all the way from Nth Van! And Mommy great job with coordinating the clothes!!

The Many Faces of Taylor

First I would love to say "Thanks" to all of the people that have left comments!!! I love to read them and I think they can be helpful for other parents if you enjoyed the experience etc..., so more comments PLEASE!! :)

Now on to Taylor....I had the pleasure of photographing Taylor a few days ago and she definitely pulled out all the stops, I think we have the makings of a little model here. Here expressions were fantastic and it just goes to prove that you don't need a "smile" to have a perfect image:)

The kids absolutely love this leopard chair, certainly not all parents do, but it is a great place to get started!

And then came the laughing, and laughing and giggles, I love when they have so much fun!! I always want the children (and parents) to leave with a good feeling:)

And last, but not least, the I'm done shot!

Thanks for coming in and having so much fun, you have some funny stories about your Daddy that I'm sure he didn't want me to know;)

Wedding Anniversary

It was our 11yr Wedding Anniversary this past weekend on March 1st, so in celebration I thought I would post some of our Wedding Photos. We had so much fun looking through them last night, we couldn't stop laughing the photos, the memories it was all so great!

On Saturday morning I thought I would be laying in bed sipping champagne and opening gifts from Tiffany's, but it wasn't so...instead our children jumped in bed with us and we began to tell the story of our Wedding Day. Of course we were interrupted by my son Finn who said "I know, I know, I saw everything that happened on that day...I was there! I was in Mommy's tummy looking out through a hole the size of my eye. And Orla was there too beside me.". You can imagine the laughter! I must say he has quite the imagination!!

This is my favorite all time photo from the day!

It was soooo windy that day, but it was making me laugh, I thought I was going to be strangled by that veil!

It is funny what you can appreciate over time, I had never given the next photo too much thought, but now I love it!

And then I think we were trying for sexy, but perhaps just missing the mark;) Still cute!

And last, but not least, my fav dancing shot:)

We tried to recreate some of the magic on Saturday night and made a date to go out for drinks and dancing, but ended up going to Starbucks and mapping out a plan for our backyard. Maybe not so romantic, but very productive;)

As a side note, I have always valued photography even when I was not a photographer, 11yrs ago we paid $1500 for our Photographer and it was worth ever penny! Photos are such an important part of our history, in telling the story of who we are and where we come from and they are for life. The images from your Wedding Day are there long after the dress is gone in a box, the hair might be gone from your husband's head, the flowers have long since died and even important people to you may well have passed (like my father-in-law), so keep this in mind when putting value on the Photography:)

Friends

I think friends are such an important part of our lives. Whether we are young or old, friends play such an important roll in everything we do. I am lucky enough to have had some of my friends for over 20yrs now and I feel very blessed:) So, I love to see my kids making new friends and exploring where that friendship will take them. Here are some photos from Orla's little playdate today, the sun was shining and we were all taking in the vitamin D!

And do you ever notice that kids don't seem to walk anywhere they are always running!

Welcome Baby Madeline

Baby Madeline was 10 days old in her Newborn Session and she was already a natural! Mom & Dad were very relaxed and open to any suggestions, which is always makes for a great session:) I love this image she looks so peaceful and it is so classic with the grain and vignette.

She had great eye contact for a Newborn, so strong and connected.

And then here with Daddy, I think this photo is so incredibly sweet!

We attempted a different shot with Mommy, but Madeline had her own plans and this is what we came up with. I love the connection between Mom & Baby, just beautiful!

I love this shot as it shows the scale of the baby, in another few weeks the baby will be far too big for this shot.

And last, but not least a Family shot:)

It was so great to have had the opportunity to photograph little Maddy, enjoy this special time!!

My top tip for Newborn Sessions is to bring extra clothes for baby & adults (the baby is naked for most of the session so chances are there is going to be an accident here and there), some know this better than others;)
